Working with the Canopy
Instead of clearing old-growth trees, the villas were designed to wrap around them. The result is a seamless transition between the brutalist concrete structures and the organic chaos of the tropical jungle canopy.
Nature is the ultimate luxury. Our job was simply to build a frame around it without obscuring the view.
The sensory experience inside the rooms relies heavily on this. The constant rustle of leaves acts as a natural white noise generator, proven to lower heart rates and induce deep states of relaxation quicker than typical hotel environments.
